BestMedsHub is a consumer comparison site, not a clinical resource. We exist to help readers compare US telehealth options across weight loss, ED, hair loss, hormone therapy, and a handful of other categories. Our editorial team verifies factual claims against primary sources — FDA drug labels, NIH and NLM databases, peer-reviewed research indexed on PubMed, and clinical practice guidelines from professional bodies like the AUA, ADA, Endocrine Society, and ACOG. We do not currently maintain an in-house licensed medical reviewer, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. If you are weighing a treatment decision, please talk to your own healthcare provider. The information here is meant to make you a better-informed shopper, not to substitute for medical advice. We would rather be honest about what we are than borrow authority we have not earned. This page explains, in detail, how we research and review what gets published.

What we verify

Every comparison page, provider review, and explainer on this site goes through a verification pass before it goes live. Specifically, we check:

Drug names and FDA status — we confirm spelling, generic vs. brand, and current FDA approval against the FDA’s official labeling database.
FDA-approved dosing ranges — we cite the label’s prescribing information, not a provider’s marketing page.
Clinical trial data — when we reference a trial (Wegovy’s STEP program, Zepbound’s SURMOUNT trials, etc.), we cite the study. We do not reinterpret results or extrapolate beyond what the trial measured.
Pricing — every price quoted on this site is verified directly from the provider’s own pricing page within 90 days of publication. Where pricing has shifted, we date-stamp it (“as of [month year]”).
Telehealth state availability — whether a provider operates in a given state, and any state-specific restrictions.
Insurance and Medicaid coverage status — based on CMS data and provider-published acceptance lists.

What we do NOT do

We think transparency about limits is a trust signal, not a weakness. So here is what BestMedsHub explicitly does not do:

We do not diagnose conditions. Nothing on this site is a substitute for a clinical evaluation.
We do not recommend specific medications for specific individuals. We compare options. The choice belongs to you and your prescriber.
We do not have an in-house licensed prescriber. Our editorial team is not staffed by MDs, NPs, PAs, or pharmacists at this time.
We do not provide medical advice. We provide consumer comparison content.
We do not accept payment for editorial placement. Affiliate relationships (see our advertiser disclosure) are separate from editorial ranking decisions.

Our 5-step content review process

Every published piece moves through five checkpoints. None of them are optional.

Step 1 — Topic and outline review. The editorial team agrees on scope, primary keyword, and which providers or treatments will be covered before any drafting begins.
Step 2 — Draft fact-check against primary sources. Every clinical claim in the draft is checked against an FDA label, NIH page, PubMed-indexed study, or recognized clinical guideline.
Step 3 — Citation review. Every clinical claim must link to its source. If a claim cannot be sourced to FDA, NIH, peer-reviewed literature, or a major society guideline, it gets cut or rewritten.
Step 4 — Pricing verification. A reviewer opens each provider’s live pricing page and confirms each number that appears in the article. Mismatches block publication.
Step 5 — Quarterly re-review. Every published comparison page is revisited at least once per quarter for pricing drift, FDA status changes, and new trial data.

Working toward medical reviewer attribution

We will say this plainly: we are actively recruiting a US-licensed medical advisory panel. When a reviewer comes on board, they will be named individually with credentials, state license details, and a link to a verifiable professional profile (NPI registry, faculty page, or society profile). Until that day arrives, content is reviewed by the editorial team only, and we do not publish names of clinicians who did not actually review the work.

A lot of comparison sites in this space attribute every article to a “Medical Review Board” that turns out to be a stock photo and a first name. We think that is worse than no reviewer at all. Naming a real reviewer, once we have one, is more valuable than fabricated authority.

Conflict of interest policy

We earn affiliate commissions when readers click through and sign up with a provider we cover. This is how the site is funded.
Affiliate relationships are not a factor in editorial ranking. A provider that pays a higher commission does not rank higher because of it.
Methodology is disclosed on every comparison page so you can see what we weighted.
Editorial team members do not hold personal financial interests in any specific telehealth provider covered on this site.

Errors and corrections

We are going to get things wrong sometimes. Pricing shifts overnight. FDA labels update. A new trial drops a month after we publish. When that happens, we want to hear about it.

Reporting an error: email [email protected] with the URL and the specific claim you are flagging.
Correction policy: notable corrections are dated and noted in a “Corrections” block at the bottom of the affected article. Typo-level fixes are made silently; substantive claims are not.
We do not silently edit substantive claims. If a price, a dose, a trial result, or a coverage statement was wrong, the correction stays visible.
