Short answer: You cancel a Rugiet subscription yourself inside the member portal. Log in through the “Log In” link on rugiet.com, open My Prescriptions in the left panel, select the treatment you want to end, scroll to the bottom and choose Skip a month or cancel your plan (also labelled Manage Your Plan), then select Cancel, click Submit and follow the prompts. Rugiet’s Terms and Conditions require the cancellation request to arrive at least 72 hours before your billing date, so do not wait until the day before. If the portal will not complete the cancellation, email [email protected] or call (855) 581-9620 and keep the timestamped confirmation.

This page covers cancellation, billing and refunds only. Terms and help centre pages reviewed August 2026 against the Terms and Conditions last updated March 23, 2026. For what the product is and what it costs, see our Rugiet cost breakdown and Rugiet Ready review.

How to cancel a Rugiet subscription, step by step

Rugiet’s own help centre documents a self-serve cancellation path, which means you should not have to phone anyone. These are the steps as Rugiet publishes them:

  1. Log into your Rugiet Member Portal. The live entry point is the “Log In” link in the navigation on rugiet.com.
  2. Select My Prescriptions from the left-hand panel.
  3. If you have more than one prescription, use the dropdown under your name to select the exact subscription you want to cancel. Rugiet specifically warns that customers with multiple products must confirm this, because cancelling one treatment does not cancel the others.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Skip a month or cancel your plan (Rugiet’s other help article calls this button Manage Your Plan).
  5. Select Cancel, click Submit, and follow the on-screen prompts to finalise the cancellation.
  6. Screenshot the confirmation screen and save any confirmation email. This is your evidence if a charge lands anyway.
  7. Check your card statement on the next billing date to confirm the charge stopped.

Step 6 is our addition, not Rugiet’s. It matters because unwanted charges after an attempted cancellation are a documented complaint theme against this brand, covered further down.

How much notice do you have to give before your billing date?

Give at least 72 hours, because that is the longest window Rugiet states anywhere. Rugiet publishes three different notice periods across its own documents, and they do not agree with each other. As of August 2026:

  • The Cancellation Policy section of the Terms and Conditions states: “To ensure a smooth process, we require your cancellation request to be received at least 72 hours prior to your billing date.”
  • The Subscription Products section of the same Terms states: “You may cancel a subscription at any time up to forty-eight (48) hours before the applicable monthly processing date of your subscription by turning the auto-refill feature off in the user portal found at manage.myrugiet.com.”
  • The help centre states that any changes to your membership must be made at least 24 hours before the order is processed.

We are not able to reconcile these, and Rugiet does not explain which controls. Treat 72 hours as the binding number, since it is the one printed under the heading “Cancellation Policy” in the contract you agreed to at checkout. Cancelling earlier than that costs you nothing.

The consequence of missing the window is stated plainly in the Terms: “If this notice date is not met, your subscription will be charged on the next billing date, and the cancellation will take effect on the subsequent billing date.” In other words, missing the deadline does not merely delay the cancellation, it buys you one more month.

What happens to billing, access and refunds when you cancel

What you are askingWhat Rugiet’s terms say (reviewed August 2026)
Does the next charge stop?Yes, if the request is received at least 72 hours before the billing date. If not, you are charged once more and the cancellation applies to the following cycle.
Does access end immediately? No. “After cancellation, you will continue to receive the Subscription Services through the end of your billing cycle.”
Is the current period refunded?Only in a narrow case: “You may request or be issued a refund for your current billing cycle only if, at the time of the request or cancellation, your medication has not been ordered.”
What if the medication was already ordered? No refund. “If your medication has been ordered prior to cancellation, you are not eligible for a refund.”
Can you get earlier months back? No. “Refunds will only be issued for your most recent billing cycle and will not be issued for past billing cycles.”
Can you return unused troches?Generally no. The Terms cite that federal law generally prohibits returning prescription medications to pharmacies for refund or reuse once they have been dispensed to a patient.
Multi-month or bundled plan?Prorated. Refunds are “calculated as a prorated amount, based on the number of months of medication shipments you have already received and the regular (non-bundle) pricing.” Expect to lose the bundle discount on months already shipped.

The practical takeaway: the refund trigger is not the calendar, it is whether the pharmacy has been sent your order. Rugiet’s help centre states that orders cannot be cancelled once the medication has been processed. For a returning patient, Rugiet says the order is generally considered placed when the refill intake for that billing cycle is submitted. That can happen well before anything ships, so “it has not arrived yet” is not the same as “it has not been ordered.”

Can you pause a Rugiet subscription instead of cancelling?

Yes. Rugiet offers a skip, and it sits on the same screen as the cancel button. The control is literally labelled “Skip a month or cancel your plan” under My Prescriptions. If your reason for leaving is that doses are piling up rather than that you want out entirely, skipping is the better move: you keep your prescription and pricing tier without paying for a refill you do not need. Rugiet does not publish a limit on how many consecutive months you can skip, so we cannot tell you whether repeated skipping is allowed indefinitely. The same notice timing applies, so skip early in the cycle rather than on the billing date.

Who actually operates Rugiet, and how do you reach a human?

Rugiet is operated by MSB Holdings, based in Austin, Texas. The Terms and Conditions define the contracting party as “MSB Holdings and its affiliates, subsidiaries, and parents.” Published contact channels as of August 2026:

  • Email: [email protected]
  • Phone: (855) 581-9620
  • Support hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm CT, Saturday 11:00am to 4:00pm CT
  • Help centre: support.rugiet.com
  • Mailing address: the Terms list 310 Comal Street BLDG A, Ste 272, Austin, TX 78702. Rugiet’s BBB profile lists 310 Comal St Ste 200, Austin, TX 78702. Same building, different suite. Use the address on your own invoice if you are sending anything formal.

Email in preference to phone. A cancellation request in writing, sent to [email protected], creates a timestamp you can show a card issuer later. A phone call does not.

What to do if Rugiet will not let you cancel

Difficulty cancelling is a real and documented pattern with this brand, not a hypothetical. Rugiet’s BBB profile showed 37 complaints closed in the last three years and 35 in the last twelve months when we checked in August 2026, and recurring themes include customers who believed they had bought a one-time product finding recurring charges, and customers whose cancellation attempt did not stop an order that had already gone to the pharmacy. Work the escalation ladder in this order:

  1. Written request to the merchant. Email [email protected] stating the account email, the date, and that you are cancelling. Ask for written confirmation and a cancellation effective date. Give it a few business days.
  2. Card issuer or bank dispute. If a charge lands after a documented cancellation, dispute it with your card issuer as a recurring transaction you cancelled, and supply your screenshot and email. Do not simply cancel the card and walk away; that can leave a balance in collections. Most issuers expect disputes within 60 days of the statement.
  3. BBB complaint. Rugiet Health is BBB accredited with an A+ rating (accredited since November 26, 2025). Accreditation is the reason this step is worth taking here: accredited businesses have an incentive to respond, and BBB complaint records show Rugiet does reply to complaints. File at bbb.org against the Austin, TX listing.
  4. State consumer protection office. File with your own state’s attorney general consumer protection division, and optionally with the Texas Attorney General, since MSB Holdings is based in Texas. Also file with the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov.

One accuracy note, because a lot of pages get this wrong: the FTC’s “click to cancel” negative option rule was vacated by the Eighth Circuit in July 2025 and is not in force. The FTC restarted rulemaking in 2026, but as of August 2026 there is no federal rule mandating one-click cancellation. What does still apply is ROSCA, the Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act, which requires clear disclosure of recurring charges and a simple cancellation mechanism, and the FTC continues to enforce it. Several states have their own auto-renewal statutes with stronger requirements.

What we could not verify

We read Rugiet’s published terms and help centre articles. We did not open an account or run a cancellation, so we cannot confirm what the buttons look like once you are logged in. Specifically unverified: the exact live URL of the member portal (the Terms reference manage.myrugiet.com, which did not resolve when we checked in August 2026; the working login link on rugiet.com currently points to start.rugiet.com), whether the portal shows a confirmation email or only an on-screen message, how long refunds take to appear once approved, and whether there is any cap on consecutive skipped months. If the portal path above does not match what you see, use the search box in support.rugiet.com for “cancel” and follow the current article, then email [email protected] the same day as a backstop.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I cancel Rugiet?

Log into the Rugiet Member Portal from the “Log In” link on rugiet.com, open My Prescriptions, select the treatment, scroll to the bottom and choose “Skip a month or cancel your plan,” then select Cancel and Submit. Rugiet’s Terms require the request at least 72 hours before your billing date. If the portal fails, email [email protected] or call (855) 581-9620.

Will I be charged after I cancel Rugiet?

Not if your cancellation is received at least 72 hours before your billing date. If you miss that window, Rugiet’s Terms state your subscription “will be charged on the next billing date, and the cancellation will take effect on the subsequent billing date.” So a late cancellation costs you one more month.

Can I get a refund from Rugiet?

Only if your medication had not yet been ordered when you cancelled. Rugiet’s Terms state you may get a refund for the current billing cycle “only if, at the time of the request or cancellation, your medication has not been ordered,” and that refunds are never issued for past billing cycles. Once the order reaches the pharmacy, no refund is available.

Can I pause my Rugiet subscription instead of cancelling?

Yes. The same portal screen offers “Skip a month or cancel your plan,” so you can skip a refill without ending the subscription. This is usually the better option if you have simply built up a supply. Rugiet does not publish a limit on consecutive skips, so we cannot confirm whether you can skip indefinitely.

Does cancelling Rugiet stop my access immediately?

No. Rugiet’s Terms state: “After cancellation, you will continue to receive the Subscription Services through the end of your billing cycle.” You keep what you already paid for through the end of the current period, and any dose already shipped is yours.

Can I return unused Rugiet troches for a refund?

Generally no. Rugiet Ready is a compounded sublingual prescription product, and the Terms cite the federal prohibition on returning dispensed prescription medications to a pharmacy for refund or reuse. Your refund rights depend entirely on cancelling before the order is placed, not on returning product afterwards.

What if Rugiet will not let me cancel?

Send a written cancellation to [email protected] so you have a timestamp, then escalate in order: dispute the charge with your card issuer, file a BBB complaint against the Austin, TX listing (Rugiet is BBB accredited, so it has a reason to respond), then file with your state attorney general’s consumer protection division and the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov.

How much notice does Rugiet actually require?

Rugiet publishes three conflicting figures: 72 hours in the Cancellation Policy section of its Terms, 48 hours in the Subscription Products section, and 24 hours in its help centre. Assume 72 hours, since it appears under the heading governing cancellation. Cancelling earlier than required has no downside.

Does cancelling one Rugiet product cancel all of them?

No. Rugiet’s help centre warns that customers with multiple prescriptions must use the dropdown under their name to select the specific subscription being cancelled. If you hold more than one treatment, repeat the cancellation for each one and confirm each separately.
